PERTH, July 5 /AsiaNet-MediaNet International/ -- SKYWEST Limited announced today that the employment of the Chief Financial Officer, Mr Craig Lovelady, has been terminated.
A number of unauthorised emails containing confidential financial information of Skywest were sent to an email address confirmed as that of Mr Jeff Chatfield, a director and major shareholder of CaptiveVision Capital Ltd
("CVC").
CVC is the Singaporean company which is currently bidding for control of Skywest with a 20 cents per ordinary share takeover offer.
The Board of Skywest was assisted in investigating its concerns by an independent forensic IT specialist. The investigation is continuing.
The Skywest Board is taking advice concerning referring the matter to the appropriate authorities.
