INVITATION TO PRESS CONFERENCE ON 3RD MALAYSIAN INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON ANTARCTICA (MISA3)

The Malaysian International Seminar on Antarctica (MISA) is held every two years under the auspices of the Malaysian Antarctica Research Programme which started in 1999. MISA 1 and MISA 2 were held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang in 2002 dan 2004 respectively.
In conjunction with the International Polar Year (IPY) 2007-2008, MISA3 will be held in Le Meridian Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah from March 21-23, 2007.
A press conference on the 3rd Malaysian International Seminar on Antarctica (MISA3) will be held as follows:

This press conference is also to launch and publicise the Malaysian Initiatives for International Polar Year 2007-2008 and show our participation.
The ICSU (ROAP)-SCAR is a routine activity for ICSU (ROAP) which is also held in conjunction with MISA3.
MISA3, which is held in Sabah aims to promote Antarctic research among the researchers especially in universities such as Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and others.
