Upcoming World Bank Conference to discuss recent research on economic integration, particularly from an emerging economy perspective
The World Bank invites media representatives to the conference “The Rise of the South at a Crossroads: A View from East Asia and Latin America” jointly organized by the Latin America and Caribbean Chief Economist Office and the Development Research Group, with the participation of the East Asia and Pacific Chief Economist Office and the support of the Malaysia Country Office. The conference will seek to bring together policymakers and academics to consider the different vantage points of Latin America and East Asian countries as their importance in global markets keeps rising. The event will also be a forum to disseminate the latest World Bank Flagship Report for Latin America, Latin America and the Rising South: Changing World, Changing Priorities.
