  MEDIA INVITATION TO WITNESS MACGDI RECEIVE A GLOBAL TECH AWARD AND AN EXCLUSIVE SHOWCASE OF GOVERNMENT'S USE OF LOCATION-BASED ANALYTICS

We are pleased to invite members of the media to the annual Esri Malaysia User Conference where we will be having an exclusive showcase of how local government organisations are using location-based analytics to address real-world challenges.

The Esri Malaysia User Conference is the country’s longest-running spatial event and gathers more than 400 decision-makers all over the country to share best practices and lessons learned on their use of geospatial technology.

The event will also feature a ceremony that will see the awarding of the prestigious Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) award to MaCGDI for their cutting-edge application called MyGOS – which has supported various mission critical operations nationwide. This includes disaster response operations, and relevant economic, and social development initiatives.

MaCGDI was selected from a pool of more than 350,000 commercial and public sector organisations worldwide to receive the SAG award.

3:05pm : Department of Statistics Malaysia: Improving government-wide decision making with GIS technology
