MEDIA INVITATION FROM SAP MALAYSIA AND IDC: LATEST FINDINGS ON INTERNET OF THINGS AND BIG DATA ANALYTICS

Sunday 20/11/2016

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak has stated that 2017 will be the "Year of the Internet Economy", and has called on Malaysians and local businesses "to embrace, adapt to changes and explore new areas of growth to accelerate the economy." As it stands, Malaysia's Digital Economy's contribution to Gross Domestic Product touched 17.8% in 2015, just shy of the 18.2% target previously set for 2020.

SAP Malaysia is in full agreement of this view. In the past decade, the rate of adoption of new technologies has accelerated and technology is changing the rules of business with disruption becoming the norm. This will accelerate in 2017 and local businesses need to absorb, understand and adapt to these underpinning seismic shifts taking place, particularly with regards to Internet of Things and Big Data Analytics.

In this light, SAP Malaysia and international renowned research house IDC would like to invite your journalist and photographer/camera crew for a media briefing which also coincides with our Technology Roadshow Malaysia with details being as follows:

Time : 11am - noon, followed by lunch at Makan Kitchen, Double Tree
