PRESS CONFERENCE: IMPROVING ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT IN MALAYSIA

This press conference is jointly organised by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and KPMG in Malaysia, a leading provider of audit, tax and advisory services.
Here, we will present the findings of a global study on Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) involving over 2,600 Finance professionals from more than 120 countries.
Highlights of our study include:
- Most businesses are operating inefficiently due to a serious disconnect between strategy and performance management;
- 40% of companies have not yet invested in a specific planning application outside of Excel;
-Almost 40% of respondents believe decisions are based on 'gut instinct' of business leaders, instead of grounded insights;
-Less than half of businesses know who their most profitable customers are.
These inefficiencies have grave implications on the sustainability of businesses as they compete in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Here to present the complete findings of our joint study and to share actionable recommendations for companies in Malaysia are: Jamie Lyon, ACCA’s Head of Corporate Sector; and Chan Siew Mei, Partner and Head of Advisory of KPMG in Malaysia.
