The highly anticipated FIM Asia Supermoto Championship 2016 will close its gates at Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 December 2016. Malaysia’s Muhd Habibullah (Gabit) has top the chart for both International Open and Asian Class, racing against 20 top international riders from 18 countries, namely Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, Indonesia, France, The Philippines, United States, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand.
This will be a historic moment for Malaysia should Gabit ace the race and top the podium. With the current standing and point calculation, Gabit will sit on the podium regardless of standing.
We cordially invite you to witness and cover this historical moment of as the 25-year-old Malaysian embark on a journey to top the charts for the first time in the nation’s history and set a new record for Malaysia’s motorsport industry globally.
Important Note to Editor:
1) Overall champion of the 2016 series will receive a golden ticket to participate in an international race
2) Interviews can be arranged for any of the riders at any point of time
3) Media will be given exclusive access to the race track and pit during the race for photography and/or videography
