INVITATION MEDIA TO SYMPOSIUM ON BROADENING THE APPLICATION OF THE SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE APPROACH

We are organising a symposium on “Broadening the Application of the Sustainability Science Approach in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: A Focus on regional Experiences”, which will be held on 19th to 21st December 2016 at Kuala Lumpur.
This symposium is the collaborative effort between MIGHT, Office of the Science Advisor to the Prime Minister (OSA) and UNESCO, which aims to pursue the objective of presenting and discussing the degree and nature of the application and applicability of the sustainability science approach in UNESCO’s five regions.
The symposium will allow to identify particular regional characteristics, priorities, needs and gaps, and to bring on board such specific features into the planned policy guidelines on the application of sustainability science. The Regional Symposium will also provide an opportunity to feature topical issues related to sustainability science which may be specific to each region.
