INTERNATIONAL DUATHLON INTRODUCES GRASSROOTS LEVEL RACE FOR CHILDREN AGED 5 – 12
Malaysia’s Book of Records' holder for the 'Largest Participation of Duathlon Championship’ and the world's largest Powerman race introduced a grassroots level programme known as 'Powerkids’. Over 200 children aged between 5 and 12 have registered at the inaugural programme.
The run-bike-run format programme is divided into three age categories:
Age Categories 5 – 7 Years Old : Race Distance (Run – Bike – Run) 0.4km – 1km – 0.4km
Age Categories 8 – 10 Years Old : Race Distance (Run – Bike – Run) 0.8km – 2km – 0.8km
Age Categories 11 – 12 Years Old : Race Distance (Run – Bike – Run)1.2km – 3km – 1.2km

Powerman is the premier label for long-distance duathlons. Powerman unites the biggest and most well-known long distance duathlons in the world under the International Powerman Association (IPA).
