GEORGE TOWN LITERARY FESTIVAL FRINGE LAUNCH @ THE COOLER LUMPUR FESTIVAL 2017

The George Town Literary Festival is the largest international literary festival in Malaysia which is supported and funded by the State Government of Penang. Held annually in the World UNESCO Heritage site of George Town, the GTLF is one of the last bastions of free speech in Malaysia and has a specific focus on world literature. The festival invites local and international writers, poets and performers to engage in topics and themes that are crucial to the world we live in. The GTLF believes in the power of free speech and expression, and is committed to being one of the most urgent, vital and provocative literary festivals in the region. This year's festival will be held from 24-26 November 2017.
2017 is set to be an exciting one for the GTLF as it introduces its latest component - GTLF Fringe in collaboration with The Cooler Lumpur Festival who will be curating the programme.
We are excited to invite you to the official launch of the GTLF Fringe which will be hosted by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau at The Cooler Lumpur Festival 2017. Officiating the launch will be the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng.

Time : 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm
Venue : White Box, MAP @ Publika Solaris Dutamas
The GTLF will also be holding a booth at The Cooler Lumpur Festival on 19 & 20 August, so feel free to drop by and learn more about this exciting festival.
