SEMINAR ON MS 1900:2014 SHARIAH-BASED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS CERTIFICATION

The Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) in cooperation with the SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. is pleased to host a Seminar on MS 1900:2014 Shariah-Based Management Systems Certification.

Background:
In the current competitive global business environment, the organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product and services that comply with the Shariah to meet the needs of Muslim customers, suit regulatory requirements and stakeholders. Adoption of MS 1900:2014 Shariah-based Quality Management System by the organization should be recognised as part of an organisation’s contribution to the Shariah Compliance Islamic Index in the implementation of the Maqasid Shariah in Malaysia. Organization from a wide range of industry segments meeting the applicability requirements can apply for and obtain certification to MS 1900:2014 to facilitate market acceptance especially among Muslim customers and in predominantly Muslim markets such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM) in colaboration with SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. will organise a one day seminar focusing on the implementation of Shariah-based Quality Management System according to MS 1900:2014 and its benefits.
The main objective of this seminar is to provide an overview of the concepts, principles and policies of the Shariah-based Quality Management System, sharing of experience from industry and opinions form Shariah expert scholars. By attending this seminar, participants will gain additional knowledge and gain better understanding of the MS 1900:2014 standard requirements and guidance for implementation of the standard.
