MONASH MALAYSIA R&D SDN BHD (MMR&D) LAUNCH CEREMONY "UNIVERSITY - INDUSTRY COLLABORATION : A CATALYST IN POWERING AN INNOVATION ECONOMY"

When the 2018 Budget was announced, we saw that the allocation for research, development and commercialisation that will drive the country's economy towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 is almost doubled to RM400 million from RM235 million in 2017. Identifying that there is a need to intensify research to create a bridge between academia and the industry, Monash University Malaysia will be launching its subsidiary, Monash Malaysia R&D Sdn. Bhd (MMR&D) in an event titled 'University-Industry Collaboration: A Catalyst in Powering an Innovation Economy'.
As an R&D status company approved by Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), MMR&D aims to develop and provide leading-edge research and development expertise to industries and organizations to discover innovative solutions that enhance their global competitiveness.
The launch of MMR&D will be attended and officiated by Professor Andrew Walker, President of Monash University Malaysia, YBhg Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Lin See-Yan, Chairman of MMR&D, Professor Mahendhiran Nair, CEO of MMR&D and YBhg. Dato' Azman Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of MIDA.
