The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) would like to extend our invitation to members of media to cover THE VIRTUAL MIA INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTANTS CONFERENCE 2022 (MIA CONFERENCE 2022)
The details of the Conference are as follows:
Day/Date: Wednesday - Thursday 8 - 9 June 20122
Time: 9.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m. (Login starts at 8.15 a.m.)
Accountants play a pivotal role in nation building, and the MIA Conference is one of MIA’s key initiatives aligned with its responsibility in developing the accountancy profession in Malaysia to ensure its future relevance and continuing national contributions. As the regulator and developer of the accountancy profession functioning under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, MIA is taking the lead in advocating for the adoption and integration of ESG and sustainability into the business agenda and is committed to upskilling and transforming accountants to deliver added value as trusted advisors on ethical value creation and business continuity in the digital economy. This in turn enables accountants to uphold good governance and the public interest in line with the profession’s nation building purpose.
Themed "Leading ESG, Charting Sustainability", the MIA Conference 2022 is specially designed to transform and equip members to understand, innovate and lead ESG initiatives that will support the nation in charting a more sustainable path for future growth. Close to 80 industry captains and sought-after subject matter experts from across the globe will be participating as our esteemed speakers in this flagship event
The MIA Conference 2022 will be officiated by the Finance Minister of Malaysia, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
