TOSHIBA LAUNCHES VSON4 SMALL PACKAGE PHOTORELAYS WITH 110 DEGREES CELSIUS MAXIMUM OPERATING TEMPERATURE

Friday 30/09/2016

Operating temperature extended to meet demands for applications using higher operating temperatures, including semiconductor testers

TOKYO, Sept 30 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Toshiba Corporation’s (TOKYO:6502) Storage & Electronic Devices Solutions Company today announced the launch of a new line-up of its small package “VSON4 Series” photorelays that extends the upper end of the operating range from 85 to 110 degrees Celsius. Shipment of the new photorelays, which can be used in applications including semiconductor testers, probe cards and replacements for mechanical relays, starts today.

Use of photorelays at higher temperatures is increasing in various applications, including semiconductor testers. To meet the demand, the operating temperature of the 12 products in the 2.45mm(L)×1.45mm(W)×1.3mm(H) small package “VSON4 Series” has been extended from 85 degrees to 110 degrees Celsius, for a total range of -40 to 110 degrees Celsius. Designers can take advantage of the extended features to design sets with an expanded design margin.
