PETALING JAYA, Feb 12 (Bernama) --
Malindo Air has ushered into the New Year by modifying their in-flight services to better accommodate the needs of their passengers.
A wider range of snacks and beverages are now available for purchase onboard its Boeing fleet. These include hot beverages such as coffee and tea, mango and orange juice, and soft drinks, among others. Hot cup noodles, red velvet cake, potato chips, Oreo, M&M’s and Kit Kat are some of the snack items being carried on-board. These items are offered at a reasonable price for the economy class passengers who wish to have other options of snacks and drinks, on top of the complimentary hot meal or hot snack and drinking water provided. Our business class passengers on the other hand continue to enjoy all these and more on a complimentary basis.
Whereas, on its ATR flights, which operate on routes of between one to two hours, combo packs of Starbucks Coffee with either bun or muffin is available for purchase on-board.
Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO of Malindo Air said, “These modifications have been done following passengers’ feedback requesting for a wider variety of food and hot & cold beverages. We reckon this will provide for a better flying experience to our economy class passengers. For example, passengers flying with kids would now have the option to buy chocolates and Ribena for them. Also with the wide variety of in-flight entertainment on most of our Boeing fleet, a pack of potato chips and a piping hot coffee or tea would be a great combination.”
“We will nevertheless continue to improvise the menu from time to time, same goes to the list of Malindo Exclusive Merchandise and duty-free items as well”, he added.
A wide array of Malindo Exclusive Merchandise and duty-free items (for international sectors only) are not to be missed on board Malindo Air flights. The latest addition for Malindo Exclusive Merchandise is the “Get Comfy Kit”, which comes with a fleece blanket and earphones that can be purchased at only RM25 online and RM30 on-board. Passengers can use and reuse these on their subsequent trips or just simply gift the same to their loved ones. Other merchandises available on-board include exclusive keychain, mug, tumbler and dry-fit T-shirt. Payments for all items sold on-board can now be made in multiple currencies in cash or with credit cards.
